Domo® Champion Ascari 5G was created in response to increasing regulatory discussions and environmental concerns around the use of plastic infill materials in synthetic football turf. This turf system offers a future-proof, infill-free alternative—maintaining high performance while being fully renewable and sustainable.

The high-density support yarns in the Domo® Champion Ascari 5G system provide excellent grip and shock absorption, contributing to a stable and responsive playing surface.
Paired with the open-structured HELIFLEX spiral lawn yarn, the turf delivers an exceptionally natural ball roll and bounce, closely mimicking the behavior of natural grass.
The dense construction also supports optimal foot positioning during play, resulting in a joint- and tendon-friendly surface that minimizes the risk of injury—ideal for safe and high-intensity football performance.
Closed-Loop Recycling with Domo® Infinitum Backing
The Domo® Champion Ascari 5G pitch is equipped with Domo® Infinitum. an innovative, latex- and polyurethane-free backing easily recognized by its distinctive white color.
This advanced backing enables 100% closed-loop recycling, making the entire turf system fully renewable at the end of its service life. Once removed, the used artificial grass can be reprocessed into new synthetic fibres, which are then reused in the production of new artificial turf systems.

What is a 5G pitch?
A 5G pitch is developed for football pitches. It does not need sand and rubber or other performance infill granulates to play on. It is optional to add some sand for extra stability, depending on the local regulations.
What is the difference between a Domo Champion Ascari 4G and 5G pitch?
The similarity between Domo® Champion Ascari 4G and 5G is that both qualities do not require performance infill to play well on. However, there are a few differences. Domo® Champion Ascari 4G always requires sand infill, while Domo® Champion Ascari 5G theoretically does not. For extra stability and depending on local regulations, it is optional to add some sand to the Domo® Champion Ascari 5G. Another difference is that Domo® Champion Ascari 5G is approved according to EN 15330-1, NFP90-112 and DIN and RAL, depending on the specifications chosen. In addition, the Domo® Champion Ascari 5G is fully recyclable in a closed loop, as it is a standard product with Domo® Infinitum backing. If you also want your Domo® Champion Ascari 4G to be renewable, you can ask for one with Domo® Infinitum instead of latex backing when ordering.
